Her mission is to shine brighter than ever, serving as a beacon for Sisters who are Truly Ready to Overcome, Nurture, and Grow through Outreach, Wisdom, Learning, and Strategies. This is more than a movement, it’s a call to rise, to reach back, and to walk together in power and purpose. Generational mentoring is one thing that she holds dear. As a mother and grandmother, it is important to her that love, legacy and learning is carried on throughout her family. Her goal is to help women and families grow within themselves, their homes and into their communities; change agents for positive, proactive, powerful and collaborating individuals. Growing and contributing in ways that cause change. Living with the mindset driven by the One Schenectady movement for better thriving communities and equality for all.

A monthly women's game night is a fantastic way for women to come together and unwind in a fun and supportive environment. Girls game night offers a regular opportunity for female friends, and acquaintances to connect and bond in a safe space. Women gather to enjoy an array of board games, activities and snacks. Event days vary depending on the month so stay tuned to the monthly calender. Although these events are free registration may be required.

The Strong Owls Illumin8 Women’s Hub is a weekly empowerment and life-skills program where women gather for workshops, discussions, and creative sessions designed to foster personal growth, community connection, and healing. Located at 816 Union Street, Schenectady, the Hub has become a beacon of support for women from diverse backgrounds seeking transformation, sisterhood, and sustainable self-reliance.Each week, participants engage in themed sessions on topics such as self-care, financial literacy, goal setting, health and wellness, communication, leadership, and art therapy. The program blends education, mentorship, and community-building, providing both practical tools and emotional support for women navigating personal and social challenges.
